Lake Casitas Camping

On Sunday, Dec 30th, we headed up to go camping at Lake Casitas with our friends, the Beu's. On the way there, we were in a car accident, but everyone is ok and no injuries. We were hit hard enough that our truck did not make it home, it is at a Chevy dealer up North. With a lot of help from friends, and God's hand in the whole thing, we were still able to make the camping trip happen (thank you to the good people who live off Hwy 150, Mac's dad Ken, State Farm, Scott's mom and Steve loaning us his truck)!! We had lots of fun hiking, running around camp, playing on the playground, shooting bebe guns, and making our own dirt "sledding" area. Storm, our dog, had a great time to say the least. She loves to be outdoors and run around with the kids. Happy New Year!!

Grandma visits from IL

We were so blessed to have Jen's Grandma in town from IL this Christmas. She was here for 2 weeks, and boy did we keep her busy. She got to visit with all of the hte CA great grandchildren, and we took her to Seal Beach (pictures above). It was so nice to have her here for the holidays.

Christmas at the Waldron's

On Christmas day we spent time at Scott's Aunt Kathi & Uncle Dan's house. The kids enjoyed a fun time with their cousins, which they are very excited about since they do not get to see them very often. Zachary and Shane had a blast playing with the Nerf guns, and the girls loved being together. They all got to make ginger bread cookies. It was a nice day!

Christmas Eve at the Croxen's

On Sunday, we had a slumber party at Jen's dad's house. We had a relaxing time watching movies and spending the night together. On Christmas Eve morning, we had a wonderful brunch followed by opening presents. It was a fun time, and extra special to have Jen's grandmother in town from IL.

Kuhlman Hafdell Christmas Party

We celebrated our Annual Kuhlman-Hafdell Christmas Party today (Scott's dad's side of the family). It was great to see everyone, catch up on life and see how the kids are growing. We had a beautiful day, the weather was perfect, and it was just a fun time with family!

Our New Buggy!

Well, we finally have a toy for our "Toy Hauler" trailer! We just got a 1959 VW Dune Buggy. It is so much fun!! The kids love it, and so do we. It's great because we can use it anytime, not just at at the desert. We've been having fun driving around town.

Mattie's Birthday at American Girl

Our niece, Mattie, turned 9 this month. She has been waiting patiently for her Birthday to go to the American Girl store in LA to buy the "Samantha" doll she has been wanting. Kylee & I were able to join them and have a wonderful dinner in the American Girl Cafe. It was a great evening - Mattie had so much fun talking in accents with our waitor - who played along so well, it was like we were at a show. Judy and I could not stop laughing.

Kylee performed in the Parkcrest KidZone "I Worship I Am" Christmas Choir Performance. She really enjoyed the singing, and getting new friends. It was a fun evening.
