Scott made this really cool video of Kylee's horse lesson with Pearl.  It's 3 1/2 minutes long, but very fun to watch if you have a few extra minutes....enjoy!

Fun Day at the Park

We had a fun day playing at Atlantis Park with Kylee & Shane's good friends Ellie & Tanner.  They are great friends, and had not seen each other in a while.  They had a blast.  The girls had so much fun taking pictures and "modeling" for the camera!  They are too cute!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful mothers out there!  We celebrated with Scott's mom.  We did miss Scott - he ended up having to work unexpectedly.

I also woke up to the following table setting that Kylee made for me - she is so sweet, I just love my kids!

Croxen Family Dinner

We had our Croxen family (adults) dinner at Busters in the Seal Beach marina.  We got to see the ocean and sunset during dinner, it was beautiful.  I love these family dinners when just the adults get to catch up, talk, laugh and remember old fun times together!  It was a blast - thanks dad & Janet for another fun dinner!

Kylee Rides Pearl ~ April & May 2009

Kylee started riding Pearl mid-May.  She had a little "scare" on Aladdin, and became a bit nervous, so she switched to riding a larger pony (instead of the horse).  She is doing really well riding Pearl, and had to start with some simple basic riding - even with some arm circles and riding backwards (with help) to help her overcome her fears and keep her focused on being comfortable on the horse.  She even goes to help at the stables for a couple-few hours at a time now, which has helped to her build her confidence even more.

By May, she was able to trot on Pearl all by herself without the lead rope.  She is so excited about that and just continues to love riding!
