Happy 8th Birthday Shane!

Shane got a new bike for his Birthday too! What a fun day, he loves the new bike. We went to church, picked up the bike, went to Carl's Jr for lunch (his favorite place), rode the bike, played video games, and he got to hang out with his cousin KendraLee for the evening. Happy Birthday Shaner!!

Helicopter Car

Random sighting - Helicopter car. Scott was at work and saw this helicopter car. We met up with him and took a few photos. Pretty cool.

Kylee's Baptism

Kylee has made the decision to get baptized, we are so proud of her! She was very excited about this wonderful decision. Kylee had the honor to have our good friend Lacey, who is also our Children's Minister, baptize her. The family was all there, along with Kylee's very good friend Alex, Ryan and their mom Jill. It was another great day of celebration!

This is also the last day that we saw our brother-in-law Tim before he headed to Iraq.  So, it was also a sad day to think we would not be seeing Tim for a while.  We miss him and pray for him and his safety every day!

Sophie's Birthday

We celebrated another family birthday - my cousin Jim & Marie's daughter Sophie turned 2! She is so adorable.  In the picture of her above with the card, she is listening to the musical card and loving it.  It was great to spend the afternoon with them and celebrate!

Family Birthdays ~ Kylee, KendraLee & Shane

March is a big Birthday month for us.  Today we celebrated with the family - Shane's 8th, Kylee's 10th and my niece KendraLee's 13th Birthdays.  They are all getting so big.  We had a nice time hanging out and celebrating with the family!

Kylee's Birthday Party

Kylee had a couple friends join her for a small Birthday celebration. They went to Seal Beach Pier to have Ruby's for dinner. The next morning they did a horse trail ride - Kylee's favorite! They had such a great time. It was a nice birthday.

Kylee's 10 ~ Happy Birthday!

Today Kylee celebrated her 10th Birthday!  Wow, where does the time go?  She started off the morning with pancakes, then off to school for the 4th grade State Writing Test (2 hours first thing, ughh! - poor thing was worried about the test).  Then, mom brought her McDonald's for lunch and she shared home made brownies with her class.  After school, she came home to her new bike - finally she has one that fits her! 

Then, off to Downtown Disney to Build-a-Bear.  While we were walking to head back home, we spotted Jennette McCurdy just sitting at a table eating with a few of her friends or family.  She plays "Sam" on iCarly, a Nickelodeon show that Kylee loves to watch.  It was HUGE for Kylee to meet her first "star/famous person".  She was ecstatic (as you can tell from the picture above)!  Jennette was so kind to Kylee and wished her a Happy Birthday.  It was the icing on the cake for Kylee, how cool!

Hunting Trip

Scott and Shane went on a day hunting trip.  Shane learned how to use a shotgun on this trip.  Shane took the first shot of the day and got the pheasant with the very first shot!  Dad was very proud.  They had a great day of hunting together with guys from the fire department.

Kids New Rooms!

The kids have each had their rooms in the same decor since they were 2 and out of their nursery room with the cribs. So, they really had no choice in what the rooms looked like being so young. Well, 8 & 6 years later, they finally got to pick the decor. As you can see, Shane picked a camouflage room & Kylee picked a horse room.

For Shane's room I did paint the camouflage on 2 walls with the other 2 walls the solid brown color. We added the big tank mural, and then used some "sticker" type military decals throughout. Kylee's room has the cute horse mural, with some "sticker" type horse decals throughout. The kids absolutely love their new rooms! It's so much fun.
