Glamis ~ MLK Weekend

Well, we loved Glamis so much on New Years, we decided to get some quads and go again for MLK weekend. Oh boy, did we all have a blast. Scott took the kids out and taught them how to go up, down, get stuck and unstuck, etc in the "mini dunes". This really helped the kids to build their confidence. I ended up going on a ride, and even caught a little air on the quad. It was just too much fun. Jen's sister, Judy, went with us along with her 2 girls. They all had a blast too - KendraLee really picked up the quad thing and loved it. Mattie was just laughing riding with Jill in her buggy. Kylee's friend Alex joined us for some of our "training" rides, and she was just a huge help with all the kids and so supportive - thank you Alex! Another great weekend of camping!

Jen's Birthday ~

I got to celebrate my Birthday at Disneyland for a few hours in the morning. I went with my dad, Janet and good friend Kelly. We had a great time. Dad rode Splash Mountain for the first time, and Janet rode Tower of Terror for the first time. It was a lot of fun, and yes I did go when the kids were at school - sometimes you just have to go on your own. Later that night, my family all came over for some desert.

Then, on Saturday, we celebrated both Scott's mom Bev and my birthdays at Benihana. We love to eat there, and it was a great time.

New Years in Glamis

We had so much fun camping with friends at Glamis Sand Dunes from January 1st - 4th. What a way to start of the new year. The kids learned how to ride quads in camp, and you couldn't get them off the quads once they got it figured out! And, Scott had fun driving us through the dunes in the Buggy. This was our first trip in the sand and we all LOVED it. Glamis is a bit overwhelming for the first trip out - there are miles of sand dunes, and miles of campers to go with them, it's pretty amazing and quite beautiful too. There is a huge hill called Oldsmobile that took Scott & Jill in their buggies a few tries, but they finally both made it to the top.

Thanks to all of our friends for their patience with us and for letting Kylee & Shane ride their quads, helping us get out of the sand when we were stuck, and of course for the amazing food we ate. We had an awesome trip!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! We had a really fun New Year's Eve - packing and packing, I know you are jealous. Well, we are heading out for another camping trip first thing in the morning, so we had to get it done. No fun parties for New Year's Eve, but watch out this coming weekend - we will have a blast!
